Initial situation

With the ageing ice rink and the Kurmittelhaus, the town of Winterberg had two facilities in its spa park that were no longer attractive and were costing the town's budget millions every year.

PPP plus contract with the Wäscher Group

aquasphere Winterberg GmbH invested around € 27.5 million net plus VAT.
aquasphere Winterberg GmbH transferred ownership of the sports and family pool, including all facilities, to the town of Winterberg on April 1, 2014.
Oversum Hotel GmbH is the owner of the town hall, which it allows the town of Winterberg to use on certain days of the year.
