While the USA achieves surpluses in the field of imports, consume more than it produces, i.e. live beyond its means and thus become more and more indebted.
The dollar is the world's reserve currency, and the majority of the world's service statements are settled in a preferred currency, namely the dollar. This means that the demand for this currency goes far beyond the borders of the USA. This made the dollar strong. It is not one's own economic performance per se that strengthens this currency, but rather international demand, which is based solely on a solid possibility of settling accounts between trading partners. The value or counterpart is not an asset, but the imaginary stability of this dollar, which gives it preference over its own currencies. For the export surpluses, Germany in particular needs foreign markets – abroad. This leads to an international shift in the balance, which at some point cries out for balance, because, on the one hand, debt continues to rise, while the assets of the export surplus countries are growing steadily. For decades, for decades, deficit countries such as the USA have faced surplus countries such as Germany.
From the point of view of the Americans, the behavior of the Germans represents a kind of parasitism that must be compensated. If it were possible to clarify the truth about this situation to the countries, or the people in these countries, to the citizens, without risking a revolution, everything would be very simple. To tell the public bluntly that the performance of the German economy is greatly reduced, while that of the USA must be greatly increased, is considered risky. More expensive energy (gas and oil) leads to a depressed economy and a reduction in prosperity. There is a migration of companies to cheaper countries, such as the USA. As a Green MP once put it, we have to go back to the seventies economically and in terms of prosperity.
